Downloading the TILSBERK HUD app and purchasing the premium version

When you download the TILSBERK HUD app and purchase the premium version, the required information is transmitted to the app server you have selected. We have no influence on this data collection and are not responsible for it. You can find further information for Android at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de and for iOS at https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT211970.

Bluetooth communication between the TILSBERK HUD app and the TILSBERK Head-Up Display

The data shown in the TILSBERK Head-Up Display is transferred from the TILSBERK HUD app to your smartphone via Bluetooth. Bluetooth is a data transmission between devices over short distances (max. 10 m) using radio technology. When Bluetooth is activated on a device, a special chip sends a unique 48-bit serial number to the outside world and simultaneously receives the serial numbers of other devices in the vicinity in Bluetooth mode. The devices are only paired and can transmit data wirelessly if both users agree. You will therefore be asked to allow Bluetooth on your smartphone and to pair your smartphone with your TILSBERK Head-Up Display when starting up the TILSBERK HUD app. Data traffic only takes place between the paired devices. You can terminate the Bluetooth connection at any time in the settings of your smartphone. It is then no longer possible to display the data from the TILSBERK HUD app in the TILSBERK Head-Up Display.

Firmware update TILSBERK Head-Up Display

Firmware is pre-installed on your TILSBERK Head-Up Display. We regularly develop this further and provide updates free of charge on our server. You can download the update with your smartphone and transfer it to your TILSBERK Head-Up Display via Bluetooth. When your TILSBERK HUD app establishes a connection with our server, access data is collected. The following data is recorded: dynamic IP address, date and time of access, amount of data transferred (or packet length), message as to whether the data exchange was successful. The dynamic IP address is reassigned by the mobile phone provider each time the Internet is accessed and changes every 24 hours at the latest. We have no knowledge of the IP address. Data traffic is encrypted according to the state of the art and cannot be read by third parties. The access data is stored temporarily for the duration of the access. The temporary storage is necessary so that TILSBERK HUD App and our server can communicate with each other and transfer the update. This is also our legitimate interest in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. The data is deleted as soon as access is terminated. The collection and storage of data in log files is absolutely necessary for the provision and downloading of firmware updates. Consequently, the user has no option to object.
